It helps me to bond with clients I care for and allows them to also enjoy being creative and getting to know me as not just their care provider but also a friend. I enjoy my work because it doesn't feel like work to me, especially when it is a enjoyable environment to be a part of. I have worked with many different patients over the years. With every new patient I care for, I develop new skills to improve my level of care. I have worked with those who require palliative care, moving and handling manually, or just assistance with their mobility through a walking frame. I have gain a-lot of skills over the years. From emptying catheters and changing leg bags, to effective and safe moving and handling skills of every kind. Training in communicating effectively with people who have dementia and Alzheimer's, depression, and bi-polar disorder. The experiences I have gained has helped me improve all levels of care I provide to each client I have worked with.
