DH4 6NP 244100 Hello, I’m David. Are you looking for a competent person you can trust to provide added support around the house for yourself or a loved one? I know from experience how difficult it can be. It shouldn’t be that way. So maybe I can help. I became the primary carer for a family member for precisely this reason. I was confident that I could do a far better job than the multiple care agencies that had been delivering his care. The outcome was that he flourished because I was not only patient and kind but had an aptitude to learn new skills and an ability to use my initiative. rather than ticking boxes for a list of tasks completed. I believe it demonstrated that having the right attitude, initiative, and the desire to learn and improve were equally, if not more, valuable than experience alone. I understand the importance of focusing on prevention e.g. falls, dehydration, etc rather than dealing with the consequences of preventable conditions. I have listed the key services I can offer as a carer and personal assistant: * personal care * medication prompting * cooking a nutritious meal * laundry and cleaning * shopping (on your behalf or assisted visits to the shops) * gardening * companionship Here’s a little about me: I relocated from London to the North East over 20 years ago and re-trained as a health and social care researcher. I gained my Masters in Health and Social Care Research Methods in 2008. My focus has been primarily the health and social care needs of older adults. At Newcastle University, I gained informed consent and interviewed over 100 older adults (aged 75+) in their own home for a cognitive and ageing study. At Northumbria University, I interviewed residents of a care home in Leeds to understand how they believed their care needs were being met. At home, I enjoy cooking, gardening (my wife and I had our own small gardening business tailored for older adults), walking, and creative writing. My family and I relocated to North Carolina, USA for five years. That’s me. What about you? If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me. If I’m not the right carer for you right now, I hope you find the person to meet your needs. 0 2 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1"}

DH2 1DP 276682 Hello I’m Nadia, I’ve worked in carer for over 5 years. I was based in a care home where I worked around many different types of conditions a couple of them being dementia & Parkinson’s disease. I also care for my dad who has a brain condition so I have experience in that field too. Over the years I have helped with personal care and providing a safe environment for clients. I love spending time with others and helping them have a better day by carrying out any care needs they may require. I also drive and I’m happy to help with any transportation or days out to help clients have fun filled days with social interaction. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":"1","field_care_type_first":"1","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":"1","field_care_type_second":"1","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":"1","field_care_type_third":"1","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":"1","field_care_type_fourth":"1","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":"1","field_care_type_fifth":"1","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":"0","field_care_type_sixth":null,"field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":"0","field_care_type_seven":null}

DL16 6HQ 26088 I have many years of care in domiciliary and live in. I have always had a passion to care of the elderly, as my grandmother had a care home when I was a young girl. I also took care of my grandmother for many years so feel I have the patience and natural love for them. It is very rewarding when you see how clients react towards you when you get to know them and when you can see they are happy and content in your presence. It's important to get on with your client and to make it a happy place at all times so that your client can feel relaxed and feel safe at all times. Communication is also very important. I have completed E learning and my care certificate, have a full drivers licence. I currently work in a care home but feel my strong points are working one on one with a client either doing waking nights or sleep overs. I have also done live in care for one of my clients 15 miles from my own home. false

I took voluntary redundancy after 20 years and started running my own business, as well as volunteering as an art therapist at Teesside Hospice. I then went to Australia for 5 years, where I helped a friend with Quadriplegia achieve his objectives and travel around Europe. I came back to the UK in April 2021 and took up a position as a live-in carer in Wiltshire for 18months. After this I became a Personal Assistant and carer paraplegic gentleman in Northampton. I'm trained in manual evacuation, sterile changing of dressings, care of suprapubic and lifting and handling. I would now prefer to work within a couple of hours' drive from home in Durham or York. Any client will find me friendly, reliable, honest, and caring. My aim is to care for a person in the same way I would like to be cared for when it's my turn. I have a holistic approach to my work. I can cook meals from around the world but also very happy and able to turn out simple tasty British cuisine. I have my own car and a clean driving licence. My enhanced DBS is up to date, too. My previous clients and their families would be happy to provide references, as would my previous employers. I'm very happy to be considered for emergency relief work if needed. dependants in my own life I decided I skills as a live-in 18months. I'm currently working as a health care assistant and I love my job. My specialty is elderly care, I'm caring, funny and I tend to strike up conversations wherever I go. I don't have hobbies as I enjoy spending my free time with my grandchildren. I have recently enjoyed my 1st trip abroad on my own and its giving me a taste of visiting new places and meeting new people. I have been a live in carer for both parents and I have the knowledge and training to know that even though it can be challenging at times it is also rewarding as I know the care that has been delivered is 100%. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1, 4, 5, 3"}
