My final experience was working with learning disabilities, I started as a support worker and progressed to leading a team as a senior. I also have dealt with emergency situation A@E ringing out of hour services. In my spare time I have 2 children. I spend most my time on the side of a football pitch, encouraging my daughter whose dream one day is to play for England. I also like spending time with family and drawing still life pictures. I work only with the elderly and love giving them companionship, taking them out and making their lonely days more enjoyable. Dementia is a devastating diagnosis for any family to receive and I specialise in this area. I am happy to do respite for a few hours in a day if family carer needs a respite so they can have that much needed break to relax or go shopping. I am happy to work with pets in the household and travel within a radius of about 10 miles. I am also fully computer literate if needed. I am looking for respite care opportunities covering carers breaks or extra care support needed as a transition from hospital back home. I also enjoy supporting people who need some support to live an independent, full and rich life. Also available for palliative care support. I worked for a company that works with service users with Parkinson's for 5 yrs and I trained carers in understanding the particular needs of those living with this condition . I have supported people with dementia, anxiety and mental health issues, strokes, learning and physical disabilities, end of life and much more. For the past 7yrs I have been a self-employed carer working in the community. All my work has arrived through personal recommendations.
