Having worked in care homes, domiciliary and one to one I have found the latter the most rewarding. Being able to treat individuals how I would want to be treated is how it should be. Everyone is different and so are their needs. A sense of humour is particularly important. I recently worked in palliative care and felt, although it was hard, it was good to be able to spend time with the person and give them the best care possible. Also I have worked with continence needs including catheters and convenes. I am quite happy to work with clients with pets but obviously that would be assessed on an individual basis, for example if a dogs who are aggressive. New skills are something I am prepared to learn. My availability daytime is Monday - Friday and overnights Sunday - Thursday. I would only expect travel expenses if the client was over 10mls away. At present I am working with a 95yr old gentleman with short term memory loss, mobility difficulties and a catheter. I visit for 3hrs a week and overnights when needed. Occasionally I help with personal care with an 83yr old gentleman when his carer is away and also a waking night with a lady with dementia. Being creative and music are important to me but I enjoy a wide variety of activities. At the moment I play Countdown with a gentleman who, although his short term memory has gone, is very good and also crosswords. false

CH2 2AW 89334 I have over a year of experience working in a variety of social care settings, where I got a thorough understanding of the need of giving professional support to service users in order to enable and encourage independent living and fulfillment. I am a devoted worker who is also a credible team member who exhibits a high degree of adaptability in the course of my job performance. While pursuing personal and professional growth, I have pursued and obtained numerous pieces of training and credentials in health and social care, as well as health and safety, in order to prepare me for my aspired career as a senior community support worker. At the care agencies I have a variety of tasks, which has prepared me to work within a non-discriminatory and legislative framework, as well as adhere to Synergy Medicals' operational rules and procedures on a consistent basis. The following are some of my duties as a community support worker: to assist service users in their daily activities while maintaining their dignity; to provide assistance with personal hygiene; to provide assistance with feeding; to provide assistance with toileting and to protect service users from any form of abuse (SOVA). I have extensive experience in implementing Person-Centered Planning (PCP), which includes everything from developing the support plan to conducting person-centered reviews to ensure that individuals make informed decisions while also respecting and supporting their choices, wishes, and aspirations, such as money management, housing, and career development, among other things. I am also well experienced in nursing home care, dementia, and chronic conditions and I have provided end of life care. I am a graduate of Computer Science (Technology) from Babcock University, Hold a Masters in Computer Systems from the University of Ibadan both in Nigeria, and currently pursuing my Masters in Business Administration at the prestigious University of Chester. Recently The high level of confidentiality that I maintain, as well as my strong interpersonal skills, enable me to interact and communicate successfully with service users and colleagues, regardless of any hurdles that may be present. I became a carer after taking care of my grandparents while in Nigeria and also have 3 lovely boys who are always my joy. I am passionate about football as I support both Arsenal and Liverpool football clubs. I am also part of my local church, RCCG in Chester.
