My career took off from this opportunity, I have worked with adults with epilepsy, young adolescents with eating disorders for 6 years, young adults and adults with Mental health, learning disabilities, behaviour that may challenge, Down syndrome and Autism. I have also worked in wards with different types of mental health conditions. I also have vast experience working with older clients. I believe to be in care you have to be caring individual , compassionate , outcome focused and be willing to make a difference in the lives of all the clients in you are entrusted to look after, have duty of care, be open and transparent with families and other professionals when things go wrong and learn from that experience to ensure the risk of reoccurrence is minimised and risk management plans implemented, good communication is of paramount importance both with clients, families and other professionals. I also believe when you are in someone’s home you have to respect their personal space, respect their privacy, treat all clients with dignity and respect. I like sport especially football, tennis, F1, basketball. I also enjoy learning about other cultures, travelling, watching tv and movies. I love being outside especially countryside(parks, sea side and visiting national trust properties around the country). I like reading, word search, I also enjoy walks early morning when it quiet and peaceful before starting my day. I am interested in trying meditation and Pilates. I have experience as a Senior in charge of a care home, Support Worker in the community, Rehabilitation Support Worker, dealing with social workers, safeguarding, best interest, mental health, surgeries and district nurses, and other outdoor agencies. I used to look after elderly and other vulnerable people. Currently I am working as a Quality Officer in domiciliary care and assisted living, doing initial assessments, care plans, risk assessments, audit, supervision, field observations, and moving and handling training. I enjoy taking to people in need, cheering up their mood, keeping them away from loneliness.
